I have lived in northern California for the past 30 years. It was here I got married and began to raise our family. We are the proud parents of two girls 14 and 11. We love Placer County with its beautiful nature and friendly, down-to-earth residents.
I grew up in Reno NV and graduated from UNR in 1990 with degrees in Physics and Engineering. I have been a licensed Civil Engineer in the state since 1996. My field of expertise is in water resources. I was fortunate to have a job that allowed me to travel around the world working on water supply and clean water issues. I left full-time employment at the start of the year to spend more time with my family, and on my favorite hobbies of gardening and playing the guitar. Of course I had many interests other than being a Civil Engineer these past 30 years. This included: co-owning a small business; being part of a great children’s charity organization; teaching undergrad Physics, along with a graduate engineering course at UC Davis; coaching girls soccer; and serving on the School Board of my daughter’s nursery school.
I did lots of fun things, but what I am most proud of in my life (outside of my wife and daughters) is being there for my parents in the final years of their life. It was exhausting and heartbreaking with seemingly no end in sight. But it is true that you get back what you put into life.
