'She is nuts': 'Emotionally broke' Liz Cheney 'embarrassing' herself with White House tilt

Ousted congresswoman Liz Cheney has been slammed as "nuts" for comparing herself to US Civil War-era president Abraham Lincoln while "embarrassing herself" further with hints she will run for the White House in 2024.

Ms Cheney is no longer a member of Congress after being resoundingly defeated by attorney Harriet Hageman in the Republican primary for Wyoming's sole congressional seat.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld blasted the ousted Wyoming representative as having "grandiose" views on herself informed by a state of "emotional brokenness" over her conflict with Donald Trump.

"I wish she had a friend that could take her aside and say you got to calm down," he said.

"Don't run for office, you're not going to get a national office, at best you're going to get Office Depot."
