Ode To Colin

I left the local tavern, and I’m sure you’ll have done this,
My belly full of lager, I was longing for a piss,
So looked around to find a place I could unzip my fly,
When suddenly from yonder lane there came a fearful cry.

I ran toward the sound and saw a servant of the law,
His hands were tied, his battered face was stained with dirt and gore,
And just below his wounded knee there was a fiery rag,
He was so pitiful I almost felt sad for the slag.

But only for a sec’, and by now bursting for a spray,
Emptied my bladder ’gainst the wall, then turned and walked away.
