Today we're discussing why fiction can sometimes be better than self-help books in times of crisis and unexpected cycles of despair. I'll share my experience during one of my darkest life seasons and how I found reading fiction books reinforced the badass inner stoic fire inside.

Self-help books help a lot of people but can be overrated. If read with the right interpretative mindset, fiction can be used for real-life applications in ways sometimes better than straightforward non-fiction self-help can enable.

These fiction books —spy novels— have helped me push through hard times into a better future.
