Let's talk about the dark side of nice people. You may think that being a nice person is a good thing, but it can have some pretty negative consequences. The problem with nice people is that they are too agreeable, which leads them to be easily manipulated by others. However, they can be manipulative themselves as well.

Another problem with over-friendly people is that they use their niceness as a weapon against others. They're so eager to please and so desperate for approval that they'll do anything for it — including sacrificing themselves for no reason at all (martyr complex). But being a people pleaser doesn't leave much room for taking care of themselves, which can lead to anger and resentment.
