The high gas fees will remain after Ethereum's MERGE event!

The Ethereum network has been plagued with tremendously high gas fees during bull runs. This is a side-effect of congestion on the network.
The Ethereum merge (whereby it switches to PoS-consensus) does not fix this issue.
