With the increasing presence of technology within society, Israel must've seen the possibility of his crime spree coming to a sudden stop in the near future. As he put it, his days were numbered. Perhaps his crime spree was destined to come to an end because of the rise of technology and increasingly diminishing selection of opportunities that would soon be left available to him.
