Some many preppers and homesteaders insist on the boys learning construction and the girls learning sewing and washing dishes. Why?

Freesteading should move beyond such a silly bunch of nonsense. Why should girls NOT be able to do handiwork? Why should boys not know how to do dishes and sewing?

Today we tackle the issue of gender rolls and how strong women make strong Freesteading homes! We can accept traditional gender rolls and non progressive beliefs on the fact that there are ONLY two genders...without limiting our daughters to being nothing but house servants!
