thinking about the concept of liminal space horror. why is the built environment terrifying? is it because the aesthetics of the place is disconnected with the people in the place? is it because the people are alien to the place that exists (i.e. racial aliens)? why do people feel disconnected from their environment? think about the role that communal spaces play in the health of the race or town, having friends, not being an incel, etc.
