Fear of Being Accepted

I'm scared of social media. I guess it's the fear of not being accepted.

Do you know what I have found?
I have found that there are people that don't like me. I've discovered that
I don't want to work with them anyway, so I don't care.

When I started doing videos probably 10 years ago, I had all kinds of people criticizing what I was doing and, you know, just not being supportive whatsoever.

I mean, it would be stupid stuff like, Dotty, you should straighten your hair.
Dotty, you should wear lipstick.
Dotty, you should wear make I mean, it was just like crap.

I just realized that I don't want to work with these people anyway, so I don't care. And the people that liked what I was doing are the people I wanted to work with.

So I would say, literally, be yourself. If they don't like you, don't spend one Iota of energy thinking about it.

Okay. I'll take that advice.
I do get in my head about why don't they like me?

You don't care. Because ultimately, you want people that love you to be your clients.

And the other ones? Who cares?
