How to fix a herniated disc and relieve back pain with stem cell therapy
Hi, this is Josh with dream body clinic. Today we're going to talk a little bit about the ozone plus stem cell back procedure. This is a really cool procedure to relieve herniated discs by going into them with the ozone, which shrinks them and then putting some mesenchymal stem cells there to grow them back to the normal size patient.
You're going to see in this video a patient named John. He came down with his brother who's been coming to us for years. It turns out these guys had some power boats back in the day. Jump in and slam in the ocean and different things, it can really hurt your back. Then you accumulate that and while getting older back problems don't really go away. In most cases they tend to compound and just add more and more pressure, more and more herniation.
We're going after the underlying issue because we want you to be pain-free. We want you back doing your favorite sports, your favorite activities, running around enjoying life.
Our orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Partita and our spinal specialist, Dr. Paco, they're able to go in directly to the spine, to the disc with a C-arm x-ray in the operating room. They keep the patient mildly sedated. It's kind of a Twilight sedation where they're still awake but don't feel anything. They go right into the disc and even if it's multiple discs, I believe John had two different disks that we had to go into. We shrunk those with ozone and then we put stem cells in them, 25 million in each disc to help those grow back over the next three to six months. The best part is the ozone shrinks it really fast. Most people within days or weeks are feeling like numbness in their hands go away. If it's cervical spine, like it was for John, if it's lumbar spine, they'll find that their legs and sciatica or nerve pain is going away and feel good really quick. It just keeps getting better because those disks will start rebuilding over the next three to six months, giving more cushion, more leeway and just more movement.
