Welding Robot Trial and Error Day 1

First day with the robot and I’m struggling. Welding a steel or aluminum frame would be a piece of cake.

Sheet metal boxes push the limits of what these machines are capable of.

Is it worth it for this part? Probably not. Once I get the machine dialed in, the finished welds need to be ground flush. Small TIG beads clean quickly.

Thick MIG beads do not.
