Bill and Hillary Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, has issued a statement after the death of a longtime friend.

A White House pastry chef, Roland Mesnier, has passed away. He served years working for the Clinton White House.

Chelsea Clinton credits Mesnier with teaching her how to bake a “terrific pie crust.”

She says she will be “deeply saddened” by Mesnier’s death.
