Just a quick update on the 4th grow - and a quick lesson in "Vapour Pressure Deficit" (VPD).

"Vapour-pressure deficit, or VPD, is the difference (deficit) between the amount of moisture in the air and how much moisture the air can hold when it is saturated."

The girls live downstairs ... and it's Canada... and it's February.

We've made the executive decision to heat the area only to 60 °F | 16 °C for reasons of economy.

At that low temperature, we have to adjust the humidity because when you are growing cannabis in a warmer temperature, you need the humidity higher.

Because we are growing at a lower temperature, we need to keep that humidity a bit lower.

At 60 °F we need to keep the humidity lower than you would think, at about 60% relative humidity - or even lower.

There are also VPD calculators online but they require more input than we have to give them LOL and these charts are a great, handy way to keep the grow environment optimal without getting tooooooo scientific.
