סוכן בכיר ב-FBI, בשם טימוטי טיבו, התפטר בעקבות ביקורת של הסנטור הרפובליקני, צ'אק גראסלי, שאמר שהאיש נהג במשוא פנים שהתאפיין בהטיה פוליטית במהלך חקירותיו.
כבר ביולי השנה, האשים גראסלי את טיבו בכך שסימן בכוונה את הראיות נגד האנטר ביידן כמידע כוזב, ואז תייק אותן בתיק מסווג.
