What type of plant is this? I think it's a Zinnia Profusion Cherry hybrid but I have no clue...smh.

So crazy story how I found these. I was sitting in a parking lot eating lunch when I saw community gardening area. I saw a shirtless guy walking around watering the plants so I walked over and talked to him. He has been doing gardening for 2-ish years and said he got these plants from someone else in the gardening area. He uses the plant to attract pollinators and shade the more delicate plants. He was throwing away a bunch of trimmings and said I could take some. He said that the trimmings could be used to propagate the plant. Each stem has little white nodes that are suppose to grow into new roots. So I've taken the trash trimmings and seeing what grows!
