Do What Is Right or Wander from God

Do you think that the story of Cain and Abel was simply about how a good brother was murdered by his elder brother? It is much more than that. It is rich in theological meaning. Good or pure motive in offering sacrifices was not an issue after all. It was about Abel taking the priestly role by offering the right sacrifice (blood sacrifice), which Cain should have taken. Moreover, it was about how expulsion from the land for violating the LORD, just as Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden. It was prophetic of the scattering of the people of Israel away from the land.
