MY RECIPE DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Ingredients Needed:
- 1 pound (box) of uncooked macaroni
- 1/2 stick of salted butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 teaspoon of coarse kosher salt
- 4-6 cups (how cheesy do you want it? I used 6) of shredded cheddar cheese (you can use more/less or different cheeses here)
- 1/2 cup of pre-cooker bacon bits
Directions: (ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE PREPARING ANY FOOD ITEMS!)
Cook pasta according to instructions on the box while you prepare the cheese below...
In a non-stick pan/pot (big enough to combine everything at the end as shown in video) melt butter on low-med heat, then add flour little by little to dissolve it. Be sure to keep mixing constantly to keep it from burning. Once butter flour begins to take on a brownish color, add milk little by little and continue to mix until you achieve a thicker rubbery looking consistency and make sure to keep mixing till smooth. Add cheese little by little until all melted and smooth while constantly mixing. You may add a little more milk to adjust thickness to your preference, be sure to mix. Once your cheese is ready, add cooked pasta to pot and mix together. Transfer to a baking/serving pan and either use a torch on the top like I did to get some color and texture, or bake in oven/smoker for 30-60 minutes at 225-300 degrees (longer/hotter will thicken it more). Top with bacon and ENJOY!
