Nine migrants found dead at Texas border, 53 apprehended

At least nine people were found dead in the Rio Grande while attempting a hazardous crossing in Texas, officials said on Saturday. The Guardian reported.

Border Patrol agents in Del Rio Sector, including Border Patrol's Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) and riverine agents, responded on Thursday to a large group of people near Eagle Pass, Texas, and apprehended 53 migrants. Fox News reported.

CBP did not say what country or countries the migrants were from and did not provide any additional information on the rescue or search. ABC News reported.
