Mississippi pilot who threatened to ram plane into Walmart in custody

The pilot flying a small plane over Tupelo, Mississippi has landed after threatening to crash into a Walmart Saturday, authorities said. Fox News reports.

The pilot was the only person on board when the plane landed several miles northwest of Ripley Airport, the FAA said in a statement. CNN reports.

Negotiators made contact and convinced him to land but he did not know how. Another pilot guided him to land at the Tupelo Airport but he didn’t land, police said. Fox13 reported.
