The Book of Psalms - Chapters 19 - 23

This is Psalm Chapters 19 through 23 – Instrumental piano songs include – “Psalm 19,” a Vineyard worship song composed by Terry Butler and “Lay Me Down,” an original composition by myself. This is never before released and making its instrumental debut for this video on Psalm 23. All other music is impromptu instrumentation led by the Spirit.
As a musician, singer and psalmist myself, I decided to do a little different format for this audio book reading, as Psalms is a very special book of the bible to me. I’ve added my own piano and instrumentation as a backdrop, along with photographic images of nature donated to me by friends, family and audio book listeners. It is read from my own personal King James version of the bible.

Psalms, a collection of lyrical poems, is one of only two Old Testament books to identify itself as a composite work containing multiple authors (Proverbs is the other). Some psalms name their author in the first line or title. For example, Moses wrote Psalm 90. David was responsible for many of them, composing seventy-three psalms. Asaph wrote twelve; the descendants of Korah penned ten. Solomon wrote one or two, and Ethan and Heman the Ezrahites were responsible for two others. The remainder of the psalms do not contain information about their authors.
The book was originally titled Tehillim, which means “praise songs” in Hebrew. The English title of “Psalms” originated from the Septuagint’s Greek title Psalmoi, also meaning “songs of praise.”1
