v70Turbo on a 242dL :The Phoenix build

Did you know a Volvo five cylinder turbo is a superb upgrade on a old Volvo 4 cylinder redblock? Well of course it is, it makes 230hp on the Volvo 5 cylinders from the v70 to the 850. It's not that common of a upgrade, however We have done it once before with amazing results with a stock ECU. We are going to use this whiteblock 16T turbo on a redblock b21/b230- engine. However there is one problem people complain about with this turbo, Lag, and I will show you how to defeat it once and for all, with a easy to follow re clocking procedure, and a huge secret of how to mount the wastegate, so it will control boost the way it should. This is where many fail, and I show you how to succeed, So you can mount this turbo on a b21 or b230 for the potential of 300hp results.

The fun is- it is still a stock Volvo turbo, and it hits really quick and really hard and pulls till redline. It is a fantastic, cost effective upgrade from a 13 c turbo, that will not tax lh2.2 or lh2.4. But never mind that, we are Microsquirting this unit! So, taxing the electronic Fuel injection system is not going to be a worry, anyways!

On this b21/b230 Frankenstein engine we are building, this turbo will be a rocket, especially on e85 ! And in this feather weight dreamy 242 chassis!! This is going to be a sportscar slayer! Are you stoked to see this thing peel up the street?
