It's not quite as dramatic as the buses, but China has at least 80% of the world's Ebikes. Last year it had some 250 million on the streets and expected to add 30 million more this year. By contrast, the rest of the world put together will buy fewer than 5 million Ebikes as of 2018, states Jeremy Williams of EarthBound Report

As fuel prices continue to skyrocket around the globe, the future looks bright for the Ebike business. Ebikes come in all shapes and sizes, and some bikes are designed for cities with challenging terrain. The number of electric-bike makers in China has exploded. Around 51,600 e-bike manufacturers are now registered in China in 2020, up 83% from 2019, government data show. And 223,000 companies were in businesses related to the electric-bike industry as of February. Future innovation in the Ebike sector doesn't look like it's slowing down soon. Maybe this is Tesla's next market to capture.
