Water Voles Don't Like Eating Insect Larva!

Such a privilege to be able to film this young Water Vole eating a Willow leaf, dropping and then eating a rolled up leaf with a grub inside. This youngster was perfectly happy with the taste of the leaf, but seems to find the larva distasteful and pulls it out! If you turn up the sound, you can hear the leaf being nipped! Very thankful to kind friends for allow me into their garden to film these charismatic small mammals whom I have loved since I was a young child.
