Using Ham Radio to Call for Help in an Emergency - What You Should Do! #MNHR

In this video I am going over a scenario where you are out in the middle of nowhere and a medical emergency arises. What do you do? How do you call for help? What if all you have left is your ham radio? Here are some tips on getting help that may make the difference in your survival!

1. Program Your radio fro local repeaters and Simplex 146.520
2. Have an antenna that you can throw up into a tree or other high elevation
3. Re-record your voicemail greeting just before your phones loses battery
4. Call CQ SOS on HF and get help from a fellow ham to contact authorities
