21세기 들어 결국, "나를 가르치려 들지 말라"는 청년 문화가 만들어졌다. 배우고 읽혀야 할 젊은이들이 "나를 가르치지 말라니??" 왜 이런 황당하고도 反 지성 문화가 퍼져 나갔을까?

자본주의 사회가 아무리 바보 사회를 지향한다 하지만, 깨어 있어야 할 꼰대들이 스스로 무지했던 책임이 적지 않다. 꼰대란 가르치는 어른이란 뜻이다. 바른 전제 위에서 잘못된 지식을 바르고 정확하게 잡아주어야 할 어른들이 제 스스로 "잘못된 전제를 바르고 정확하게 가르치려" 했으니 잘못된 전제를 더욱 잘못되게 만들었다. 꼰대의 지식은 젊은이에게 나쁜 가치를 지니게 되었다. 대표적인 것이 "공산주의와 자본주의는 서로 싸운다."라는 매우 잘못된 전제이다.
