Expanded pokemon sets is a set review series meant to cover pokemon sets that are only part of the expanded format. Since I wasn't making pokemon tcg videos during the time when they were new I'll be looking at them as part of the expanded format today but I'll also talk about thier significance in the meta during the time they were fresh.

The original Black and White base set very well marked a historic time in the poikemon tcg as it drastically changed many aspects that were otherwise standard before and was the foundation for how the tcg shaped up since and is today. That's not to take anything away from the very strong cards it introduced some of which are very relevant even today in expanded.
