🦂🗿🦂North Texas Scorpion! 🦂🗿🦂

Saw 10+ little scorpions on my evening walk. Be careful if you're wearing sandals! Sometime if you step on them the flip flop will fling the little guy onto you. You don't think it'll happen till it happens

In North Texas, the most common scorpion species is the striped bark scorpion. Yellowish to tan in color, this type of scorpion has two markings resembling broad stripes on its upper abdomen. These stripes appear black in color but may be faint.

While there are no poisonous scorpions found in Texas that can cause death, being stung by one of these arachnids can cause pain, redness, and swelling. Applying an ice pack to the area and taking over-the-counter pain medication is typically all it takes to recover from a scorpion sting.
