ACCURATELY, BIBLICALLY, AND COMPASSIONATELY REFLECTING CHRIST

You know guys, there's something about this particular passage of scripture that not only challenges me, but really gets me to thinking about just what the body of Christ is supposed to be. That the body of Christ is not a building, but it's the people. That it's not about anyone person, especially that it's not about a pastor, but it's about the people that make up the church, and that that church is functioning, and reflecting Christ accurately. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional really got to me, and challenged my heart, because I want to be an accurate reflection of my savior, so I'd like to share these questions with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will show you these important truths too.

How is the church to reflect Christ?

What I'd like to do right now my friends, is share some thoughts that God has shown me about this through this vlog I'd like to share with you tonight. It's something that's been on my heart for some time, as to what the church is supposed to really be, and I pray that what I say resonates with you, and that it will challenge you as well. As I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it will challenge you to be that accurate, biblical, and compassionate Christ lake reflection of Jesus in everything that you say and do.

What are some things that can hinder you from accurately reflecting Jesus?

Are you harboring any personal prejudices? Are you questioning God calling in your life regarding a particular avenue of service within the church? Are you allowing your personal preferences/prejudices in your life to cause a case of stubborn pride? Do you think that you don't need to reflect Jesus, especially to those that you disagree with, and/or whose lifestyles you don't approve of? Above all, are you just plain scared to do so? I challenge you today to bring these things before the Lord, and if you're harboring any sins of personal prejudice, laziness, or outright stubborn pride, confess them immediately to the Lord, and forsake these attitudes! Most of all, I pray that you will choose to be that godly, accurate, and compassionate reflection of Jesus and everything that you say and do, so that Christ Jesus is seen in you.
