Tributes To Queen Elizabeth II

Following the sad news that Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96, celebrities and politicians have been taking to social media to pay tribute.

Three months after celebrating her Platinum Jubilee in June this year, marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne, Her Majesty has passed away. Mourners across the country and worldwide have been sharing their condolences for the Royal family online.

As Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby wrote, "With profound sadness, I join the nation, the Commonwealth and the world in mourning the death of Her Late Majesty The Queen."

Gary Lineker added, "Such a terribly sad day. Her Majesty The Queen has died. A truly remarkable woman who served her country with dignity, loyalty and grace. A comforting ever present in the lives of most of us. Rest In Peace, Your Majesty."
