"The Quran asked Muhammad and his followers to worship three idols besides God. Muhammad recited a verse in Sura An Najm which was after verse 19. It said that the three idols of Al-Lat, the goddess of fertility, Al-Uzza, the goddess of power and Manat, the goddess of fate were divine beings, assisting Allah in his work.
