Hi Larry, I saw your comments tonight… I was trying to understand them, and found this video. First thing, you’re not wrong. I’m not the smartest lawyer in the room! 😂 Part of what I have always said on the channel is that if I have questions, chances are others have the same questions as well. I don’t mind asking the dumb questions… someone will learn something from them. :)
On how the comments work: I do try to keep up with the chat. Interacting with the chat is something I love about the whole platform. The comments I am able to bring up (highlight) is a matter of software. I use a software called streamyards, which only allows me to highlight comments from YouTube. Rumble is working on a highlight feature, but so far, they do not have that option and it’s not integrated in streamyard. You are right – re: paid comments on Rumble are highlighted, but not by me.
Finally, and most substantively I think: I appreciate you might take issue with my comments about not being sure if I hate my country. You seem very patriotic, which is a beautiful thing. As am I. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. Indifference would be the problem. The fact that I question whether or not I hate my country is only correlative to the love I have for it. But I do feel that my country has betrayed me, and its values. I don’t expect everyone to share that sentiment, and I wasn’t sharing it for public affirmation but strictly as honest reflection. We do not have to agree with each other. Just understand one another.
(Sidenote: I grew up with 3 cockatiels. One actually died of lead poisoning because it ate the peeling paint around the windowsills. It was an old house, and we did not know that the paint was lead-based).
