Church, Where the Hungry are Fed

​Only the Lord can satisfy that hunger for the hope of eternal life, forgiveness of sins, unconditional love, and a purpose for living. In Luke 14 Jesus told a parable that likened the Kingdom of God to a sumptuous banquet. The church, the Kingdom of God on earth, should be a place where the spiritually hungry can be fed on a regular basis. It's not the building. It’s not the atmosphere. It’s not the location that makes the church. The food—the plain “meat and potatoes” of God's Word- nourishes our souls.
