Thomas More Lawyer Explains Why WI Must Replace ERIC If They Want Honest Elections

Special Counsel to Thomas More Society Erick Kaardal appeared in front of WI lawmakers on Sept. 8, 2022, to explain why ERIC should not be trusted and how states MUST regain control over their own voter rolls and not farm them out to third parties who can't be trusted to properly maintain them.
During his testimony in front of the WI State legislature, Kaardal used residents of nursing homes who have become "wards under guardianship," meaning they have been deemed ineligible by the state of WI to make decisions on their own, as examples of names of people who should not be listed as active voters.

Kaardal explains how they've researched the number of WI residents who are "wards under guardianship," and they've discovered that approximately 90% of them are underreported and that those ineligible voters are still listed on the voter rolls as active, registered voters who are being sent absentee ballots. He explained how elections can be very close and how leaving all of these ineligible voters on the voter rolls can lead to stolen elections. The Thomas More lawyer explained how Registers in Probate in 13 counties in WI have fought back against the motion by the Thomas More Law Society to request a form that contains PUBLIC information that would reveal how many residents are under guardianship orders. Kaardal explained that they claim it's "private" information. He asked the WI legislature, "Why can't we get a form from the Register in Probate that's sent to the WI Election Commission that that information is then put into the WISC vote database, and meant for the public to know 'That person is ineligible to vote?'"

Finally, Kaardal explains that WI Election Commission won't do anything to update their database, "Because once they update the database, we will see that they all voted." He jokingly called the reason the data was being hidden from the public  "The 800-pound elephant in the room."
