Tithing or giving as the Spirit is leading? Don't give to get!

Are Pastors pushing the tithe or are they living by faith? Jesus called the tithe as part of the law, just not as weighty as other laws. Matt.23:23 – "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth (tithe) of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important MATTERS OF THE LAW—justice, mercy and faithfulness." Acts 17:24,25 – “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else." Is it possible that God doesn't need our money? "...the Truth will set you free!" (John 8)
