Why Go Back? Get Out While You Can

Why would anyone want to go back to Chicago? Even the group doing this first song in today's Segue City Special ("Take Me Back to Chicago"), Chicago, doesn't want to go back. None of them live there anymore anyway and neither does Chaka Khan who sings with them on the song. So it makes logical sense to segue into Dan Hartman's "Get Out of Town" since that's the smart thing to do. A lot of people of voting with their feet and doing just that in Chicago and Illinois by moving to the Sunbelt. Good thing the mayor's election in Chicago wasn't a beauty contest...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
