#30: Tale of the Tiger: Truths of Tiger King and Joe Exotic Case Updates with John Philips

Hello all, and Happy New-Divulgence-Year! For year 2, we hit 30 episodes with a very special guest, and a VIP in my eyes! In this wild episode, I am joined by all-star attorney, multiple documentary key-role figure, and current legal representation for Joseph Schreibvogel – Joe Exotic, the Tiger King – John M. Philips! John gives us an update on Joe, his case, and other pending suits and factors related to the Tiger King world. We shine light on a handful of the many important factors, witnesses, and pieces of evidence that the documentaries, podcasts, and Joe’s defense attorneys failed to raise/disclose. Among those, are Ashley Webster – and her sex romping with Allen Glover – the true story behind the tiger skulls, the many interesting cases surrounding James Garretson (including his National Mall threat, possible cult ties, the death of a girl by one of his tigers, his ‘circus’, and how Carole Baskin had him run out of Florida), and the fact that John was never fired by Don Lewis’ family, he quit (all going towards my preconceived notion that John Philips was the one (stand-out/’main’ and pertinent) character in the Tiger King world that was normal, professional, family-loving, and competent above the rest – and that the producers were clinching at straws to paint him as less of so to fit their narrative of mayhem and madness). We also learn more about John, his kick-ass offce and his past works, (Peacock’s) Joe vs. Carole, National Geographic and their shady/less than ethical moves, the feds, and plenty more truths of the Tiger King world – with Joe, Jeff, Lauren, James, Allen, and all the rest!
