Wobbegong shark exploring the great barrier reef

This is the only species of the carpet shark family of the same name in the wobbegong family.

These sharks are found in shallow water in coral thickets off the northern coast of Australia, New Guinea and the islands of this region.

The maximum recorded length is 1.8 m.
