Former President Barack Obama gave a speech saying he would not raise taxes during a recession or economic downturn. Joe Biden was in the audience and clapped in support of this idea. Now, President Biden is looking to raise taxes during an economic downturn. Many are questioning why Joe is doing this even after Barack warned him that raising taxes would not work.
