GREETINGS FROM THE HEART (adaptations made for video)

There are friends in our life, who are special from the start,
ones set apart from the rest, those who touch our heart!
We don’t always know how extra delightful they will come to be,
yet, as days greet us, they do kind deeds to end our misery.

These little things may seem small at first, but as time passes us by,
we realize how much happiness and sunshine they put in our sky!
They may send a greeting by snail or e-mail, texting, or cell call--
however it's given, we’ll quickly realize their gift is not one small.

A friend as this is truly a special person who’s come to be so dear,
and will remain a valued member of friendship club’s year after year!
To these special friends of the heart, let us their ways remember,
every single day of the year, from January through December!

We must never forget to return kindness to friends such as these,
on their memory days, like birthdays, doing things to greatly please!
So, I urge each of you, who have a friend that is especially dear to you,
to offer acts of friendship and give heaps of love that’s due!
