The market for affordable Android Smartphones has gotten really interesting and also competitive this year! Which has made the Google Pixel 6a receive a lot of scrutiny for some choices made with the final specs. And there are some really attractive alternatives. Such as the brand new Nothing Phone 1 which has amazing specs for less money than the Pixel 6a. For example it has a 120hz OLED Display and also a really unique design with those light effects!

But that does not mean the new Google phone is a terrible choice! There are specific Google features, you don't get on other Android 12 devices. Such as Screen Calling, which makes someone using an unrecognised number say who they are before you answer the call! Great for eliminating scam calls and people fishing for your information! However, this is only available in the USA currently and coming to the UK soon!

But cooler than that is the Google Call Hold. If you are ringing a business, and are sat waiting in a call que the Google Pixel devices can wait for you and then will notify you when you’re final talking to a representative. Awesome for helping you save time, and going about your day!

And of course, because this has the Google Tensor Chip. Just like the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro we have Magic Eraser. Which we all know what that is, because of the millions of google ads we have seen online!
