It's My Life, I Want a Hemi

We start today's Segue City Special with Chuck Leavell, Jimmy Hall, Dicky Betts and Butch Trucks doing another Cadillac song - this time from one of Jimmy Hall's solo albums - "Cadillac Tracks." Then we slide into a live version of Billy Joel's "My Life" to signify the Mayor's love of Hemis. He had a Caddy once but he's a MOPAR guy and has been since he was in high school. Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
