Fighting Your Battles: Every Christian's Playbook for Victory - Pt 2 with Jonathan and Kanika Evans

On today’s edition of Family Talk, Jonathan Evans and his wife, Kanika, continue discussing his new book, "Fighting Your Battles: Every Christian’s Playbook for Victory," as well as their personal testimony of enduring four miscarriages. The parents of five children, Jonathan and Kanika share that through their trials, they learned to hold on to their faith and depend fully on the Lord. Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Jonathan notes that you know you’ve given your burden to God when you’re no longer trying to manipulate the outcome.

About Today's Guest: Jonathan Evans
Jonathan Evans is a mentor, author, speaker, and former NFL fullback who treasures his relationship with Jesus Christ along with the opportunity to use his life to glorify God. He seeks to impact today’s athletes, men, and young adults by equipping and encouraging them in their faith. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Christian leadership, Jonathan also serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys and co-chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks. He serves with his pastor, friend and father, Dr. Tony Evans, both in the local church and the national ministry. Jonathan’s wife, Kanika Evans, holds a bachelor's degree in health science studies from Baylor University, and a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. They are the proud parents of Kelsey, Jonathan II, Kamden, Kylar and Jade Wynter. They reside in the Dallas metro area.
