WELLCAMP: White Elephant or Prison Camp in Waiting?

The Queenland Regional Accomodation Centre (Quarantine) at Wellcamp, Toowoomba must be one of the most guarded white elephants in Australia. Recently I went for a walk around the facility only to be met by security guards who told me I was being traced by 44 cameras and to leave immediately before the police arrived. Bit of overkill wouldn't you think for something that is no longer being used????? Or is it??
