001 Introducing The Book of Daniel (Daniel 1:1-6) 1 of 2

We introduce the Book of Daniel as we begin our expository study of the entire book, going verse by verse from beginning to end and using the Bible itself as the main "commentary" on the text while quoting from Herbert Lockyer, Peter Ruckman and others.

This study, we spend some time getting to know the background of the apostasy in Israel, the wicked King Jehoiakim, the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, the basic facts of the history of the "20 Years War" the brought about the captivity of Daniel and "the three Hebrew children" Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (Shadrach, Mesach and Aded-Nego).
