“They choose between life and death”: Matvienko spoke about the meaning of the referendum for the residents of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson

Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko on the first day of voting on the issue of joining the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson to Russia said that citizens make a choice between life and death.

“People in a referendum choose between life and death. If they decide to become part of Russia, I assure you, we will not hesitate. The procedure is extremely clear and we have fully worked out,” Matvienko said.

"This is a historic event. These days, the inhabitants of these regions determine their future, their destiny,” Matviyenko also emphasized.
