Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid dropped a bombshell announcement at the United Nations General Assembly yesterday when he announced his support for the two-state solution. In other words, he stated his support of the establishment of a Palestinian state, and he also made the false claim that the majority of Israeli citizens feel the same way.

Did Prime Minister Yair Lapid just ruin his political career? Since Israel is holding elections in November, their citizens will decide if they agree with the interim prime minister or not.

In the meantime, much of the world’s attention seems to be on Judea and Samaria. The EU is discriminating against Israel’s heartland while trying to push a trade deal through. Russia is threatening Israel by offering military support to the Palestinians. And the Iranian president is bashing Israel at the UN. Meanwhile, the IDF is still in process of rooting out terrorism in the Samaria region.
