על רקע המשך המחאות האזרחיות באיראן, בעקבות מותה של צעירה בת 22 אחרי שנעצרה על ידי משטרת המוסר של המשטר, מגישת חדשות NTD שוחחה על הנושא עם סינתיה פארהאט, ילידת מצרים, מומחית לטרור איסלאמי ומחברת הספר "המנגנון הסודי: תעשיית המוות של האחים המוסלמים", המצהירה, בין היתר, כי היא סבורה שיש גורמים בממשלת ארה"ב שתומכים במשטר האיראני וזה מה שנותן לגיטימציה למעשי הרצח האכזריים המתרחשים במדינה. פארהאט גם תוהה "איפה כל הפמיניסטיות האמריקניות כעת?!"
