Luke 17: 1-10 “Faith to Forgive”

It was the custom of the day among the Jews to forgive someone up to three times.
So, Jesus radically changes that to seven times in a day.
When our brother or sister offends us…sins against us…and they repent of it…we are called to forgive them.
Please understand this is not what Jesus said in Matthew 18…which refers to church discipline where you confront a brother or sister who is in sin.
And when that doesn’t work you go back with another brother or sister to confront them...and if it continues you put them out of the church.
This is a personal offence that someone has done to you and has repented of it…
The command to forgive is now in your court.
