London’s Installing Facial Recognition Tech Designed by the Chinese Gov't | The Chad Prather Show

London, already famous for being one of the most surveilled cities in the world, is installing more cameras as we speak. Now, this is being done in the name of lowering the crime rate, which it might do. Unfortunately for the fine folks of London, their government is using cameras, and the technology in them, coming straight from China, where they were developed to help the Chinese government deal with the Uyghur Muslims. With a little foresight, it’s easy to see that these things are designed to trample on people’s freedoms. In fact, the facial recognition tech in these cameras is so good and has been used for so much bad, that it's actually banned in the United States ... for now. If we aren’t vigilant against the prospect of this new age of digital tyranny, we may find ourselves in a similar situation.
